This will help you set up Windows 98 for a new dial up connection.




Start by double clicking on "My Computer"




Then double click on "Dial up Networking"




Double click on "Make New Connection"




Enter the name of your ISP




Enter the phone number provided to you by your ISP




Click "Finish"




Right click on the connection you just made
then left click on "Properties"




Click on the "Configuration" button
On the new screen set your maximum speed to 57600




Remove the check marks for "Log on to Network"
Also remove the ones for "NetBEUI" and "IPX/SPX"
